Sweet, Strong, and Straight to the Point—A Tropical Cocktail That Hits Every Time

If you’re looking for a drink that’s bold, smooth, and dangerously easy to sip, this Mango Tequila Drop is exactly what you need. Created by Bartalk Bruno, this cocktail blends fresh mango, amaretto, and tequila with citrus and a touch of bitters for a drink that’s layered, vibrant, and full of personality.

This isn’t your average fruity cocktail—it’s strong, flavorful, and meant to be enjoyed responsibly. With a mix of sweet mango, nutty amaretto, and citrusy notes from Cointreau and lemon, every sip delivers a perfect balance of tropical sweetness and bold kick.

Ingredients

For the Mango Base:

  • 1/2 cup fresh, ripe mango, chopped
  • 1–2 oz smooth amaretto liqueur

For the Cocktail Mix:

  • 2 oz blanco tequila
  • 1 oz Cointreau (orange liqueur)
  • 2–3 oz sweet mango nectar
  • 3 dashes aromatic bitters

For Garnish:

  • Fresh lemon slices, for garnish and juice
  • Ice, for serving

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Prep the Mango

  • Add chopped mango to a glass.
  • Pour in amaretto.

2. Muddle & Marinate

  • Muddle the mango and amaretto together until juicy.
  • Let it sit briefly to marinate.

3. Add Spirits

  • Pour in blanco tequila and Cointreau.

4. Add Nectar & Bitters

  • Add mango nectar and a few dashes of aromatic bitters.

5. Add Citrus & Ice

  • Squeeze in fresh lemon juice.
  • And add ice to the glass.

6. Mix & Serve

  • Stir well to combine everything.
  • Garnish with lemon slices, and serve immediately.

Pro Tips and Suggestions

  • Use ripe mango for maximum sweetness
  • Let the mango and amaretto marinate for a deeper flavor
  • Adjust the mango nectar for the desired sweetness level
  • Don’t skip bitters—they add depth and balance
  • Stir well to combine all layers of flavor
