Biscoff Banana Pudding: A Cookie Butter Twist on a Southern Classic

A Classic Dessert Gets a Bold, Buttery Upgrade

Banana pudding is a cherished dessert in many Black households—a nostalgic staple served at family reunions, cookouts, and Sunday dinners. But what happens when you give this Southern classic a modern remix with the bold flavor of Biscoff cookies and cookie butter? You get a game-changing dessert that’s rich, creamy, spiced to perfection, and unapologetically decadent.

This Biscoff Banana Pudding takes the silky layers we all know and love and transforms them with caramelized, spiced cookie butter flavor that hits different. The addition of nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla bean paste brings warmth and depth, making it feel like both a familiar comfort and an elevated treat. It’s giving Southern nostalgia and luxury indulgence, all in one bite.

What You Need (Ingredients)

  • 5.1 oz box of vanilla pudding mix
  • 5.1 oz box of banana cream pudding mix
  • 3 cups of milk
  • 3–4 ripe bananas, peeled and chopped
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 8 oz tub of Cool Whip
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract or vanilla bean paste
  • 2 packs of Biscoff cookies (approx. 8.8 oz each)
  • Nilla wafer cookies (optional for layering)
  • Biscoff cookie butter (for drizzling and layering)

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Mix the Pudding Base
In a large bowl, combine one box each of banana cream and vanilla pudding mix with 3 cups of cold milk. Whisk or beat until smooth. Let the mixture sit in the refrigerator for 5–10 minutes to thicken.

2. Prep the Bananas
While the pudding is chilling, peel and chop your bananas into small, bite-sized pieces. Set them aside.

3. Add Cream Cheese
Once the pudding has set, add in the softened cream cheese. Blend until smooth and creamy—no lumps allowed.

4. Fold in Cool Whip & Spices
Gently fold in the Cool Whip, followed by the nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla extract or paste. Mix well until everything is evenly combined.

5. Build the Layers
In a large serving dish or pan, start with a layer of Biscoff cookies. Add a few Nilla wafers if desired, followed by a layer of chopped bananas. Then spread a generous layer of the pudding mixture on top.

6. Drizzle That Cookie Butter
Warm the Biscoff cookie butter slightly so it’s pourable, then drizzle it over the pudding layer. Repeat the layering process—cookies, bananas, pudding, and more cookie butter—until the pan is full.

7. Finish with a Final Drizzle & Garnish
Top the final layer with more Biscoff cookies (whole and crushed) and an extra drizzle of cookie butter for dramatic effect.

8. Chill and Serve
Refrigerate the pudding for at least 3–4 hours to let the flavors meld and the cookies soften. Serve cold and watch it disappear in minutes!
