Bold, Spicy, and Irresistibly Cheesy

This Cheesy Cajun Shrimp Dip is the perfect balance of spice, creaminess, and savory seafood flavor—ideal for game day, parties, or even an indulgent weeknight snack. Packed with Cajun-seasoned shrimp, sautéed peppers and onions, and a blend of gooey cheeses, this dip comes out of the oven bubbling, golden, and absolutely addictive.

It’s a dish that takes the flavor of Cajun kitchens and wraps it in comfort-food coziness. Grab some tortilla chips, bread, or crackers, and watch this dip disappear the moment it hits the table.

Ingredients

Base & Flavor

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic or 1 tsp garlic paste

Shrimp & Seasoning

  • 1 lb shrimp, chopped
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning (plus more to taste)

Cheesy Blend

  • 1 block cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup pepper jack cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • ¼ cup scallions, chopped

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Sauté the Veggies

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet, then cook diced onion and bell pepper until softened.

2. Cook the Shrimp

  • Add more oil if needed, toss in chopped shrimp.
  • Season with black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Cajun seasoning.

3. Build the Base

  • Stir in garlic paste, cream cheese, shredded cheeses, and scallions.
  • Mixing until everything is creamy and combined.

4. Bake Until Bubbling

  • Transfer mixture to a baking dish, sprinkle more cheese on top.
  • Bake at 375°F for 25–30 minutes.

5. Broil for Extra Melt

  • Broil for 2–3 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.

6. Serve & Dip In

  • Enjoy hot with chips, bread, or crackers!

Pro Tips & Suggestions

  • Use fresh shrimp for the best flavor, but frozen works if thawed properly.
  • Adjust the Cajun seasoning to your spice preference.
  • Switch up the cheeses—mozzarella or gouda also melt beautifully.
  • Serve immediately for the best cheesy pull.
