- ½ teaspoon dried parsley
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Optional: Old Bay or Cajun seasoning
- ¼ cup seasoned breadcrumbs
For the Garlic Butter Topping:
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Chopped parsley (optional)
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Make the Crab Filling
- In a bowl, gently mix crab meat, lemon juice, Boursin cheese, and green onions.
- Add paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, salt, pepper, and breadcrumbs.
- Optionally stir in a bit of Old Bay or Cajun seasoning for an extra kick.
- Fold gently until combined and set aside.

Step 2: Make the Biscuit Dough
- In a large bowl, mix flour and baking powder.
- Add minced garlic and cheddar cheese, folding until evenly incorporated.
- Pour in the buttermilk and fold just until combined—don’t overmix.

Step 3: Stuff and Form the Biscuits
- Preheat oven to 450°F.
- Pour melted butter into a baking dish.
- Using lightly floured hands or a scoop, form biscuit dough into balls.
- Flatten each dough ball slightly and add a spoonful of crab filling to the center.
- Fold the dough around the filling to seal and place it seam-side down in the buttered dish.

Step 4: Bake
- Bake at 450°F for 30 minutes, or until golden brown on top and bubbling around the edges.

Step 5: Top with Garlic Butter
- Mix melted butter and minced garlic for the finishing touch.
- Brush garlic butter over the biscuits as soon as they come out of the oven.
- Sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired. Serve warm.

Pro Tips & Serving Suggestions
- Keep the dough cold: Cold buttermilk and cheese help create fluffy layers.
- Use real lump crab: The better the crab, the better the biscuit. Avoid imitation crab.
- Pair it up: Serve with a light salad, seafood chowder, or roasted asparagus for a complete meal.
- Make it a meal prep star: These reheat beautifully and are perfect for brunch leftovers.
