Ingredients
For the Steak & Marinade
- Your favorite steak, cubed or finely sliced
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 2 tsp Shaoxing wine (or dry sherry/white wine)
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 4 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp oil
Vegetables
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 sweet onion, chopped
For the Sauce
- 3/4 cup cold water
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 4 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Cornstarch slurry (1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tsp cold water)
For Serving
- Cooked jasmine rice
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Marinate the Steak
- Slice or cube your steak.
- In a bowl, mix all marinade ingredients and toss with the steak.
- Let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
Step 2: Chop the Veggies
- Dice green and red bell peppers and onions into small/medium pieces.
- Set aside for sautéing.

Step 3: Sauté the Vegetables
- Heat oil in a large skillet or wok.
