  • 2 ½ cups beef broth
  • 2 (10.5 oz) cans of Campbell’s French Onion Soup
  • 1 cup butter, sliced

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Preheat & Prep the Ingredients

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (218°C).
  • In a 9×13 baking dish, combine the rice, beef broth, and French onion soup. Stir well to distribute the flavors.

2. Add Butter & Bake Covered

  • Slice the butter into even pieces and scatter them on top of the rice mixture.
  • Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.

3. Uncover & Finish Baking

  • Remove the foil and return the dish to the oven.
  • Bake uncovered for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until the liquid is fully absorbed.
  • If necessary, extend the cooking time by 10-15 minutes to ensure the rice is tender.

4. Serve & Enjoy!

  • Serve hot alongside your favorite main dishes.
  • Let the rice rest for 5 minutes before fluffing it with a fork.

For this recipe, I doubled everything so if you don’t want as much rice, cut this in half. French Onion Rice 2 cups long grain rice 2 1/2 cups Beef Broth 2 10.5 oz Campbell’s French Onion Soup 1 cup butter sliced Set the oven to 425°. Mix ingredients in a 9×13 pan. Put the butter on top and cover with foil for 25 minutes. Remove foil and place back on for 20-25 mins (I had to cook for 35 mins) or until liquid is absorbed. I had to use brown and white rice because my grocery store forgot my rice lol. The brown rice came out softer, so I would use that one. My picky eater wanted thirds of this rice ?
