National Chip and Dip Day
March 23, 2024
On March 23rd, it is a National Day just for the chip and dip! National Chip And Dip Day celebrates a perfect combination loved by many across the country. Chips and dip are a quick and easy party dish that also makes for great parties.
Origins: The first dips, hummus and olive oil, originated in the Middle East and the Mediterranean Sea region. Chips and dip have been a popular pairing for over 50 years, and gained popularity in the United States in the 1950s. This was in part due to a Lipton advertising campaign for their French onion dip recipe, also known as “California dip”.
