Taco Bell’s New CEO: Sean Tresvant named Taco Bell CEO

Taco Bell recently made history by appointing Sean Tresvant as its first Black CEO. Tresvant, who has been with the company for over two years, will take over the role from Mark King on January 1, 2024.

Tresvant was born and raised in Washington, D.C. He attended Howard University, where he studied business administration. After graduating, he began his career at Nike, where he worked in a variety of marketing and brand management roles. In 2017, he joined Taco Bell as the global brand officer.

In his role as global brand officer, Tresvant was responsible for leading the brand’s marketing and communications efforts. He was also responsible for developing the brand’s strategic framework. During his time at Taco Bell, he led several successful marketing campaigns, including the viral return of the Mexican Pizza.

Accomplishments

Tresvant’s accomplishments at Taco Bell are impressive. He helped to grow the brand’s social media following by more than 50%, and he increased brand awareness by 10%. He also led the development of several new menu items, including the Naked Chicken Chalupa and the Crunchwrap Supreme.
