Ingredients
- 10 ounces frozen pineapple chunks, thawed
- 10 ounces frozen sliced peaches, thawed
- 1 cup granulated sugar, divided
- 8 cups water
- 2 black tea bags
Step-By-Step Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Fruit
- Cook over medium heat until the fruit softens and the juices thicken slightly, about 30 minutes.
- In a large saucepan, combine the thawed pineapple, thawed peaches, and 1/3 cup of the sugar.

Step 2. Infuse with Tea
- Simmer until the sugar is fully dissolved and the tea flavors meld together, about 7–10 minutes..
- Stir in the water and the remaining 2/3 cup of sugar.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer.
- Add the black tea bags, then reduce the heat to medium-low.

Step 3: Strain and Serve
- Serve immediately over ice or let cool to room temperature and refrigerate for later.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat.
- Gently squeeze the tea bags to extract as much liquid as possible, then discard them.
- Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into a large container, pressing on the solids to extract maximum flavor.
- Discard the solids.
