A Comfort-Filled Classic with Bold Flavor in Every Bite

This lasagna brings together rich seasoned meat, cheesy layers, and two types of RAGU chunky sauces for a flavor-packed family favorite. Whether it’s Sunday dinner or a special occasion, this dish delivers saucy, melty comfort with every bite. A little sweetness, bold seasoning, and lots of cheese make it unforgettable.

It’s the kind of recipe that brings people together — layered with love, made to feed a crowd, and perfect for leftovers. With each bite, you get that irresistible balance of tangy tomato sauce, tender pasta, gooey cheese, and hearty meat.

Whether you’re making it for a potluck, weeknight dinner, or holiday table, this lasagna is guaranteed to be a repeat request.


Ingredients

Meat & Sauce

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 1 jar RAGU Chunky Tomato, Garlic & Onion Sauce
  • 1 jar RAGU Chunky Six Cheese Sauce
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • Lawry’s Seasoned Salt (to taste)
  • Garlic powder (to taste)
  • Italian seasoning (to taste)
  • 1/2 cup diced green onions

Lasagna Base

  • 1 box lasagna noodles
  • Salt (for boiling water)

Cheese Layers

  • Ricotta cheese (about 1–1.5 cups)
  • Colby Jack cheese, shredded
  • Mozzarella cheese, shredded

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Pasta

  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add salt to prevent sticking.
  • Cook lasagna noodles until al dente according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Step 2: Prepare the Meat Sauce

  • In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and Italian sausage over medium heat until fully cooked.
  • Drain excess grease.
  • Add both RAGU sauces to the meat.
  • Stir in green onions, sugar, Lawry’s, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  • Let simmer for 10–15 minutes to blend flavors.

Step 3: Layer the Lasagna

  • In a greased baking dish, start with a layer of the meat sauce.
  • Add a layer of lasagna noodles.
  • Spoon more meat sauce on top.
  • Add shredded Colby Jack and Mozzarella cheeses.
  • Dollop with ricotta cheese.
  • Repeat the layers: noodles, meat, cheeses, ricotta.

Step 4: Bake to Perfection

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Cover dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
