The Perfect Homemade Snack—No Artificial Ingredients Needed!
If you grew up loving fruit roll-ups, you’re in for a treat! This homemade version is all-natural, packed with real fruit, and super easy to make—no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives. Whether you’re making these for the kids (or just yourself, no shame!), these fruit roll-ups bring that nostalgic chewy sweetness without the processed stuff.
The best part? You only need three simple ingredients—fruit, lemon juice, and a touch of sweetness. Just blend, spread, bake, and roll.
Ingredients
1 cup of fruit of your choice(fresh or frozen, but thaw if using frozen)
Juice of 1 lemon(adds brightness and preserves color)
1 tablespoon of sugar or sweetener(adjust to taste based on fruit’s natural sweetness)
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Blend the Ingredients
In a blender or food processor, combine:
1 cup of fruit
Juice of 1 lemon
1 tablespoon of sugar or sweetener
Blend for 2 minutes until the mixture is completely smooth.
2. Prepare the Baking Sheet
DO NOT add oil—the natural fruit sugars will prevent sticking.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Spread the fruit puree thinly and evenly over the parchment using a spatula. Aim for about ⅛-inch thickness—too thick, and it won’t dry properly.
3. Bake Low & Slow
Preheat the oven to 170°F (75°C).
Bake for 4 hours, or until the fruit is fully dried but still flexible—it should not be mushy.
4. Cut & Roll
Once cooled, use scissors or a pizza cutter to cut the fruit sheet into strips.
Roll them up with the parchment paper to prevent sticking.
5. Enjoy & Store
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
For longer storage, keep them refrigerated for up to 1 month.
Pro Tips for the Best Fruit Roll-Ups
Choose ripe fruit. The sweeter the fruit, the less sweetener you’ll need. Strawberries, mangoes, peaches, and mixed berries all work great!
Avoid adding water. This keeps the fruit puree thick enough to dry evenly.
Get creative. Mix fruits together (like mango-strawberry or blueberry-peach) for fun flavor combinations.
No dehydrator? No problem! Your oven at low temp (170°F) works just as well.
