Sweet Potato Pie Meets Cheesecake, and It’s Game Over

This dessert right here? It’s the best of both worlds. Creamy, rich cheesecake meets the warm, spiced flavor of classic sweet potato pie — and it’s giving holiday-worthy flavor any time of year.

This Sweet Potato Pie Cheesecake is silky, sweet, and spiced just right with cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla. With a premade crust and low-temp baking method, it’s shockingly easy — but tastes like something straight off your granny’s Thanksgiving table. Ingredients

For the Filling:

  • 2 cups mashed sweet potatoes — boiled or baked until tender
  • 2 (8 oz) blocks cream cheese — room temperature
  • ½ cup brown sugar — rich and molasses-y
  • ¼ cup white sugar — for balance
  • ¼ cup sour cream — adds tangy creaminess
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 large eggs

For the Crust:

  • 1 store-bought graham cracker crust (or homemade if you’ve got time)

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Prep the Sweet Potatoes

Boil or bake sweet potatoes until soft. Peel, mash, and let cool.

2. Make the Cheesecake Batter

In a large bowl, mix cream cheese, brown sugar, white sugar, sour cream, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, salt, and mashed sweet potatoes. Blend until smooth.

3. Add Eggs

Add eggs one at a time, mixing until batter is lump-free and creamy.

4. Fill the Crust

Pour the mixture into a premade graham cracker crust.

5. Bake Low and Slow

Place cheesecake in a water bath and bake at 300°F for 50 minutes. This helps prevent cracks.

6. Chill and Serve

Cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 6 hours before serving.
