When it comes to crafting a centerpiece that will have everyone at the table reaching for seconds, few dishes deliver like a juicy, Honey Mustard Glazed Spiral Ham. This dish combines the deep sweetness of honey, the tang of mustard, and the bold touch of jerk spices, creating an unforgettable flavor experience. Perfect for Easter, Thanksgiving, or any Sunday family gathering, this ham brings generations together over irresistible bites.

Spiral hams are not only delicious but also incredibly convenient, making it easy to slice and serve beautiful layers coated in a rich, sticky glaze. What makes this recipe special is how the glaze seeps into every curve and crevice of the ham, ensuring flavor in every bite. With simple ingredients and a foolproof method, this recipe is perfect for home cooks looking to impress without stress.

Ingredients List (What You Need)

For the Ham:

  • 1 (4 lb) spiral ham (fully cooked)
  • 1 cup honey
  • ½ cup butter
  • 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard

For the Glaze:

  • 2 cups pineapple juice
  • 2 tablespoons grainy mustard
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon dry jerk spice

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Prepare the Ham

Place the spiral ham in a roasting tray. In a small bowl, mix the honey, melted butter, and Dijon mustard thoroughly. Using a brush, coat the entire ham generously with the honey mustard mixture, making sure to get in between every spiral layer for maximum flavor.

2. Roast the Ham

Preheat your oven to 325°F. Place the prepared ham in the oven and roast for 2 hours. Basting the ham once or twice during cooking will help keep it moist and flavorful.

3. Make the Glaze

While the ham is roasting, prepare the glaze. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the pineapple juice, grainy mustard, brown sugar, honey, and dry jerk spice. Bring the mixture to a simmer and reduce it by half, or until it thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon.

4. Glaze the Ham

After the ham has roasted for 2 hours, remove it from the oven. Pour or brush the glaze all over the ham, letting it soak into the layers. Return the ham to the oven for an additional 10 minutes to let the glaze set and caramelize.

5. Rest and Serve

Remove the ham from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing. For an extra punch of flavor, mix any leftover glaze with the pan drippings to create a luxurious finishing sauce to drizzle over each serving.
