Until 2003, Emile Johnson worked for more than 25 years in the corporate-American industry, both in the health and pharmaceutical sales industry. He served in different capacities, including as a regional sales director at Abbott Industries in Chicago, and also helped to build and market various popular nutritional products such as Ensure beverages and Similac body formula. His son, Andrew, also joined the company fully in 2014 and has since then been handling the sales and marketing aspect of the company while growing expanding the Brand’s distribution to over 600% in the last 3 years. He even helped the company build its online presence across all major social media platforms, including Facebook and TikTok.

For nearly 20 years since its establishment, the company has stayed true to its mission of providing healthy foods: canned beans, baby food, and vegetables, to the members of the public, and has achieved a lot of success. In 2007, barely four years after it started, the company struck a deal with the USDA to supply beans mainly for all of the Women & Infant Children (WIC) centers around Chicago. Also, the company’s baby food product, Pic Select Fresh, recently gained attention and went viral on TikTok, with numerous online users describing it as the newest and major alternative for the baby food brands that have been scrutinized by the U.S House subcommittee. This occurs in a recent development where the company’s baby food product is seen to tick all boxes from the congressional investigation and was not listed as one of the products that contain arsenic, lead, and other toxic metals that can cause brain damage in infants.
As a result, product sales have risen, and the company has increased it’s valuation. In addition, the company, via its social media pages, stated that it has now begun selling its products in all Walmart Super Centers throughout the Midwest states along with all Kroger and Meijer stores. It explains that the journey started some six years ago when they began delivering products directly to each store from the trunk of its cars and progressed to shipping truckloads across the country.
This further lends credence to the fact that Goode Foods as a brand is one to be reckoned with in the food industry in the United States. It is a force that has come to stay!
