Golden, crispy, and packed with bold flavors—these KFC-inspired potato wedges bring the perfect balance of crunch and seasoning. Whether you’re snacking solo or pairing them with your favorite meal, these seasoned wedges will have you coming back for more. Plus, we’re elevating this recipe with a Buttery Buffalo Ranch Dip that takes every bite to the next level!

Ingredients: What You’ll Need

For the Potato Wedges:

  • 3 large potatoes, cut into wedges
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup water (adjust for consistency)
  • 1 tbsp chicken bouillon
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp parsley
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp sriracha sauce (optional, for extra flavor)

For the Buttery Buffalo Ranch Dip:

  • ½ tsp ranch seasoning
  • 2 tbsp mayo
  • ½ tbsp sour cream
  • 3 tsp Kinder’s Buttery Buffalo Sauce
  • Parsley & red pepper flakes for garnish

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Potatoes

  1. Wash the potatoes thoroughly and cut them into wedges.
  2. Bring a pot of water to a gentle boil and parboil the wedges for 5-7 minutes. This step ensures they cook evenly and become extra crispy when fried.
  3. Drain the potatoes, pat them dry with a paper towel, and let them sit for 10 minutes to cool.

Step 2: Make the Batter

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together:
    • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 egg
    • ½ cup water (add more as needed to achieve a thick but smooth consistency)
  2. Season the batter with:
    • Chicken bouillon, black pepper, parsley, paprika, chili powder, onion powder, and garlic powder.
  3. If you love a little heat, add 1 tbsp of sriracha sauce—it takes the wedges to another level!

Step 3: Fry to Perfection

  1. Heat oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Dip each potato wedge into the seasoned batter, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  3. Fry in batches for 5-7 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.
  4. Drain on a wire rack or paper towels.

Step 4: Make the Buttery Buffalo Ranch Dip

  1. In a small bowl, mix together:
  • ½ tsp ranch seasoning
  • 2 tbsp mayo
  • ½ tbsp sour cream
  • 3 tsp Kinder’s Buttery Buffalo Sauce
  1. Whisk until smooth and garnish with parsley and red pepper flakes.
