Flo Rida is celebrating a huge victory in court! On Wednesday, the South Florida jury awarded him and his production company $82.6 million after finding Celsius Holdings Inc., makers of Celsius energy drinks guilty of breaching their contract with Flo Rida as well as hiding money from him. Tramar Dillard (known professionally by Flo Rida) expressed how it felt to be betrayed like this: “Basically, I helped birth this company…and then when it comes down to the success of today..they just forgot about me.” Despite lawyers for Celsius arguing otherwise during proceedings, justice has been served–celebrations are going on over at Strong Arm Productions headquarters tonight!
“This was a long journey, but we prevailed. From the start, I only wanted what I worked for, nothing more, nothing less,” he said in the statement, adding that he was “instrumental in the Celsius that you know and love today.”
Flo Rida’s five-year partnership with Celsius helped to fuel the company’s growth, expansion and product development. Thanks to this successful venture between Flo Rida and Celsius, a new powder form of their products was launched as well as an entire new line known called ‘Celsius Heat’. According to John Uustal representing Dillard in court proceedings, despite being awarded damages by the jury he would still be willing accept 1% ownership of stock which had originally been part of his agreement when entering into partnership with Celsius.
After a successful four-year partnership with Celsius, the relationship was put in jeopardy due to an ongoing legal dispute concerning stock ownership. Despite this setback, Dillard says he still consumes their products and even owns some of its stocks – evidence that his connection to the company has never wavered over time. His hope for a prosperous future remains strong as he spread a message about ‘unconditional love’ towards Celsius despite any difficulties they’ve faced together.
