National Muffin Day
February 20, 2024
For the past nine years, around National Muffin Day (which the food dictionary say falls on February 20), we’ve encouraged people to bake muffins and hand them out to people experiencing homelessness in their cities.
Origins: Jacob Kaufman, a tech lawyer in San Francisco, co-founded National Muffin Day. Kaufman started the holiday by handing out muffins to homeless people on his way to work every week for almost five years.
